Full Exception Anime Soundtrack Now Available On Music Streaming Platforms - Anime Trending News

Milan Records has announced the full release of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Exception (Soundtrack from the Netflix Anime Series)” album. It is now available on multiple music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
The 58-track soundtrack for Netflix’s Exception features original music written by Sakamato for the sci-fi horror anime series, which premiered on October 13, 2022.
The album was initially introduced with the series’ opening theme, “Opening for ‘Exception,’” and “Oxygen.” The opening theme for the anime is described as an otherworldly orchestral piece featuring sweeping strings layered with piano and ethereal synths.
“Oxygen” is an extended reprisal of the same opening theme, with Netflix uploading a full music video for the track today as well.

The original story for Exception is credited to horror-mystery writer Hirotaka Adachi (also known as Otsuichi) and character designs by Final Fantasy’s Yoshitaka Amano. Yuuzou Satou (Muteking the Dancing Hero) is serving as chief director for the series, while Studio 5 and Tatsunoko Production are handling the animation production.
The main voice cast for the series include Chikahiro Kobayashi as Lewis, Takahiro Sakurai as Mack, Yuuko Kaida as Nina, Takanori Hoshino as Oscar, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Patty.
Netflix describes the anime series as:
In the far future, humanity has been driven from Earth and forced to move its population to another galaxy. Members of a scouting team are sent to search for a planet suitable for terraforming. The crew was created through a biological 3D printer, but a system malfunction causes one of the crew members, Lewis, to emerge in a deformed state. As Lewis turns on his fellow crew members Nina, Mack, Patty and Oscar, a countdown to the end of the mission begins in the frightening darkness of the ship.
