CLEVELAND, Ohio - Legendary singer-songwriter John Prine is gone but not forgotten — and will be remembered in abundance during the coming week. You Got Gold, a celebration of Prine’s life and career that was postponed from 2021, takes place in Nashville from Friday, Oct. 7 through Oct. 12, with the evening performances streaming live every night except Saturday, Oc. 8, from City Winery Nashville and the Ryman Auditorium.
Each show’s lineup has been kept secret, though organizers promise family, friends and “many of the performers who shared the stage with (Prine) over his decades-long career). Tickets for each concert will be available via mandolin.com; proceeds will benefit the non-profit Hello in There Foundation that the Prine family established after his Covid-related death in April of 2020.
