Katy Perry fan calls for Just Eat song to be available on Spotify - The Argus

A Katy Perry superfan has started a petition to get a song sung by the star in an advert uploaded onto streaming platforms.
Dale Melita, a self-proclaimed “Katy Kat” from Kemp Town, said that he fell in love with the song sung by Katy Perry in an advert for food delivery company Just Eat.
However, he was disappointed to see that the track was not available on Spotify or other music services.

Dale, 34, said: “I loved the song as soon as I first heard it when the advert aired on TV a few months ago and I assumed it would be available to stream.
“I saw some tweets from other fans saying we need a petition to get the iconic Just Eat track available on streaming platforms.
“I couldn’t actually find a petition to sign so I thought I might as well start one myself and spread the word.
“I know I’m not the only one that has the song in their head - it went viral on TikTok.
“It would mean so much to me to stream it on Spotify after being a fan since 2008 and I would add it to my playlists for sure.”

The advert, first broadcast in May this year, sees the Firework singer talking about her love of a takeaway.
The song features lyrics including: “A little sushi while I watch a movie, papaya salad while I sing a ballad, need some ice cream, make it a swirl, gotta treat this California girl”.
Viewers of the advert see a Just Eat courier arrive at the singer’s home, alongside an array of quirky characters and food for every occasion.
