Mattel honors music icon Tina Turner as a Barbie, where to buy it online - PennLive

Mattel has released the Tina Turner as Barbie doll as part of its Music Series to honor the iconic singer on the upcoming anniversary of her hit "What's Love Got to Do With It."
Mattel is honoring the legendary Tina Turner with a Barbie doll for the icon’s hit song, “What’s Love Got to Do With It.”
Turner released the mega-hit “What’s Love Got to Do With It” in 1984.
“From a young girl singing in her rural church choir in Nutbush, Tennessee, to becoming the legendary icon hailed as the undisputed ‘Queen of Rock ‘n Roll,’ Barbie celebrates the unprecedented music career and journey of Tina Turner,” Mattel said.
The Signature Music Series Tina Turner as Barbie is dressed in a black mini dress with a denim jacket inspired by the outfit Turner wore in the music video for the song.
The doll sports Turner’s “signature hairstyle” along with drop earrings and black heels. She has a microphone accessory and doll stand.
The Tina Turner Barbie sells for $55 and is available from Amazon and Walmart and $55.99 from Target.
Turner, who will turn 83 in November, has received eight Grammy Awards and is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time with hits that also include “Proud Mary,” “Simply the Best” and “Private Dancer.”
Prior Music Series Barbies included Gloria Estefan and David Bowie.
