PHOENIX FM: Josh Barber, right, of Adsum Audio, with George and Joel
By Paul Golder
We love promoting local new talent on Phoenix FM, not just with our local band shows and our Young Artist of the Week feature but by also hunting down the stars of tomorrow too.
This week, it was the turn of The Arts Programme which featured some talented young musicians and engineers.
Brentwood producer Josh Barber came in to talk about his new label, Adsum Audio. Josh is a producer and photographer as well as being involved in everything a record label and engineer entails.
He’s collaborated with another Brentwood artist, George Green - otherwise known as XX Crazy Angel - and London rapper Joel for their first release, the Halloween-themed drum’n’bass single Watch The World Burn.
Josh, George and Joel talked to show hosts Claire Gevaux and Natalie Bays about the challenges faced in the music industry today and what they are all hoping to achieve for the future.
Both Josh and George are regulars at Brentwood’s Hermit Club and have supported the recent Make Music Day initiative too.
You can hear the new single on all streaming services - and hear their interview again on
